Teresa Oler received her BFA in Sculpture coupled with a certificate in Art
Education from Brigham Young University. She is currently developing a new body of work while living in Germany. She previously worked as a studio
artist in Seattle, Washington and taught Art for three years in Utah and Arizona.
Teresa was raised throughout the United States, living in Utah, Arizona, Georgia, and Washington. She apprenticed with ceramic and glass artists in Washington. She also studied abroad in Hawaii learning to sculpt with oil clay on large scale armatures.
Teresa’s current mediums include ceramic, cast metal, wood, glass, and found objects. She is developing two different lines of work. One line presents the preciousness of found objects in a reliquary-like glass globe with custom metal work. The other line is ceramic relief work that creates a mysterious partial narrative that encourages the viewer to fill in the blanks with their own creative abilities.
Most work in the gallery sections are for sale. Please direct any inquiries to the artist by email.
